Neurodivergent Self-Care

A little less guessing. A lot more good skin.

Whether you’re here for barrier-first sugaring, skincare, or your very first Brazilian, I want you to know what to expect. Sugar B is a professional, inclusive space built around education, comfort, consent + really good care.

I’m new! Where do I start?

Welcome to Sugar B! All new clients should add a 30-Minute New Client Consultation when booking their first service.

This gives us time to review your forms, talk about your skin and hair history, discuss goals, answer questions + make sure we have plenty of time without rushing your first experience.

Do you work with all bodies?

Absolutely.

Bodies have folds, scars, stretch marks, hair, texture, pigmentation, mobility differences and all kinds of anatomy. You do not need to lose weight, shave differently, apologize for your body or “prepare” it for me.

My treatment room is an inclusive, judgment-free professional space.

Do I need to grow my hair out before sugaring?

Yes! Ideally, we want about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving or roughly 1/4 inch of hair.

Is sugaring just a faster Brazilian?

Not at Sugar B.

Hair removal is skincare. Your appointment includes intentional preparation, technique, skin support + education designed to protect the barrier while managing the hair.

What if I’m nervous about an intimate service?

Tell me!

First Brazilian, body insecurity, previous bad experience, sensory concerns, gender-affirming care, mobility needs or just plain nervous—we can talk through it.

You’re allowed to ask questions, request positioning adjustments or pause a service at any point. Consent continues throughout the appointment.

What happens if I’m late?

Life happens. Please reach out as soon as you know you’re running behind.

Arriving late may mean your service needs to be shortened or adjusted so the next client’s appointment isn’t affected.

If there isn’t enough time to safely and properly perform your service, we’ll need to reschedule and the applicable cancellation/rescheduling fee will apply.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling your appointment.

Late cancellations and last-minute reschedules may be charged a $75 administrative fee.

Appointments canceled with insufficient notice, same-day cancellations or missed appointments may be charged up to 85% of the scheduled service total.

Repeated cancellations may require prepayment before future appointments can be reserved.

What happens if I no-show?

A no-show may be charged 85% of the scheduled service total, and prepayment may be required before booking another appointment.

I reserve this time specifically for you. Protecting appointment time allows me to continue providing unrushed, one-on-one care to every client.

What if I’m sick?

Please reschedule if you’re actively sick, contagious, feverish, vomiting or experiencing symptoms that could put either of us at risk. If you’re unsure, reach out before your appointment.

Can I bring someone with me?

Appointments are generally one client at a time unless we’ve arranged otherwise beforehand.

If you require a caregiver, interpreter, support person or other accommodation, please contact me before your appointment.

What does professional behavior mean at Sugar B?

Sugar B is a professional skincare and hair-removal studio, even when we’re laughing, talking about life or working in intimate areas.

Sexual comments, sexual requests, inappropriate touching, harassment, threatening behavior or intentionally exposing areas of the body outside what is necessary for the booked service will immediately end the appointment.

The full service price may be charged, and the client may be permanently refused future services.

Respect goes both ways, always.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Whatever makes you comfortable.

For intimate or body sugaring, loose, breathable clothing can feel especially nice afterward. You’ll receive clear instructions about what clothing needs to be removed for your specific service, and professional draping is used when appropriate.

Can I receive a Brazilian during my period?

If you’re comfortable, I’m comfortable. Please use a tampon, menstrual cup or disc during an intimate service and arrive freshly changed.

Keep in mind that hormonal changes can sometimes make the skin feel more sensitive.

Can I shave between appointments?

You can; I’m not coming to your house to confiscate your razor but it will interrupt the growth-cycle management we’re working toward.

Consistent sugaring gives us the best opportunity to work with your hair cycles and improve your long-term results.

How often should I book sugaring?

After refining hair growth, most maintenance clients do best around every 4–6 weeks, depending on the area, growth cycle and individual goals.

We’ll talk about the timing that makes sense for your hair instead of forcing everyone onto the same schedule.

What if I’m taking medication or using active skincare?

Tell me before we start.

Retinoids, prescription skincare, recent procedures, certain medications and changes in your health can affect whether a service is appropriate that day.

When in doubt, disclose it. Healthy skin wins over getting the service done today.

What facial should I book?

Choose the level of treatment and time that fits your needs, and we’ll customize your care based on what your skin is telling us that day.

New client? Remember to add your 30-Minute New Client Consultation to your first visit.

Do you accept tips?

Tips are always appreciated but never expected. The best compliment you can give Sugar B is coming back, taking care of your skin + telling someone you trust about your experience.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment options are shown during booking and may include major credit/debit cards and digital payment options. Paying with cash? Please bring exact change, as I don’t keep cash on hand in the studio.

Are deposits, packages or prepaid services refundable?

Unless otherwise stated, deposits, prepaid services, packages and promotional purchases are non-refundable.

Appointment cancellation policies still apply when using prepaid services or packages.

Can you refuse or stop a service?

Yes.

I may modify, postpone or discontinue a treatment if I believe proceeding could compromise your skin, health, safety, professional boundaries or the quality of your service.

You also have the right to stop your service at any time.

Still have a question?

Ask me.

There are very few questions I haven’t heard after years in a treatment room, and I would always rather you ask than spend your appointment worrying.
